MAC #10 Marijuana Strain Information

MAC #10

Hybrid – 50% Sativa /50% Indica

THC: 32%

MAC 10, also known as “Miracle Alien Cookies 10,” is an evenly balanced hybrid strain (50% indica/50% sativa) created through crossing the infamous MAC F2 X (Unknown Colombian Landrace X Starfighter). With parents like these, you know you’re in for one crazy ride with MAC 10. This bud brings on the high-flying euphoria, with heavily cerebral effects that launch you into outer space and leave you there. This effect hits you almost instantly, smashing into your brain and leaving you insanely happy with a slightly unfocused and hazy sense. A deeply relaxing body high accompanies this heady lift, keeping you anchored as your mind flies higher and higher. Thanks to these effects and its super high 32% average THC level, MAC 10 is often chosen to treat patients suffering from conditions such as headaches or migraines, chronic pain, depression and chronic stress. This bud has a super spicy fruity berry flavor with a heavily gassy exhale. The aroma is very pungent and gassy with a diesel overtone that has touches of sweet and spicy berries to it, too. MAC 10 buds have fluffy oversized forest green nugs with dark green undertones, lots of furry orange hairs and a coating of frosty blueish-green tinted white crystal trichomes.

VISUALS

Visually stunning, the shape of the buds is conical, with fox tailing so prominent and uniform, from a side profile they appear like the teeth of a double-edged wood saw. Detail, development and colouring, this has it all underneath a pave of trichomes.

Smell – The first sniff out of the jar was a very interesting mix of a musk that filled my nostrils with scents of a very smooth a creaminess mixed with a almost slight berry fruit that married nicley with a cheesy skunky funk and finished off with a old basement must. Scents are bright, with thick citrus vinyl. Feels light, yet sturdy. The cutting edge of the profile is blazing citron, raspy with acidity at the frontage. The top note stays quite wild, before it backs into a fruity mix of sweet herbs and subtle earths.

Taste – My inhale of the bong hits blessed my palette with a smooth sweet taste that carried a slight purple berry mixed with that cheesy skunk and tappered off on the back end to a sweet earthy pine berry hashyness, the exhale was equally as smooth an was similar in flavor as the inhale but leaned a little more to the piney peppery hash taste.

Effects – Right as the very first rip that I exhaled the buzz began picking up in the top of my head and streatched to my forehead with a slight jolt of energy, after the second hit my I felt my entire body relaxed but my head remained to have a very strong clear zing building as I packed up another bong snap. After that third one I was completly floored with the pedal stuck to the ground, the kind of stone where your talking to somebody but your staring at the wall directly behind them, as i attempt to write i am overthinking what I am trying to describe and after about ten to fifteen minutes in that racyness subsided along with all my muscle aches as well. I am feeling the nice gentle tingly waves of warmth traveling through my entire body as I am floating on cloud 9 in complete bliss.

If you are new to cannabis start of slow and see how she does you and if you have bad anxiety this may not be the one for you, for veteran status tokers I assure you you will love the flavorful high grade exotic smoke that awaits you in this jar.

We can’t even appropriately rate this cut at 5+++++ stars because this strain is the fuckin tits!!!!!

It’s absolutely off the charts, to @hollowtips__california @hollowtipscalifornia whatever you are doing to this plant over there keep up the amazingly  work, this cut hit me different everytime I smoked it depending my mood and the time of the day, but everytime it smacked hard, burned clean white ashes and hit me with a clean quality high that I enjoyed over and over again, truely a fine work of art. Also a huge congratulations on being apart of the Oscars nominee gift bags with your gold vape , Thank you for providing a truely connoisseur experience with this cut of Mac 10, cant wait to see what you got dropping next.

FLAVOUR

Heat unravels the top edge of the profile, separating the thin citrus edge from the funky vinyl note, giving an off-balance feel, spinning violently like a Pulsar. Character is like the Dutch on Queen’s day; reeks of unhinged youth, wears orange on top of bright orange.

EFFECTS

Effect is upwards, colossal, but not savage. I’d call it a foolhardy love potion– friendly but, you could do yourself in smoking this all day.

Translating flavour into effects, this has little low tone flavour to find comfort in. The top side of this profile steals the limelight, but effects still stay hybrid. I’d relate it like a Citrus Skunk or a Tangie. Brightening and buzzy, not so racy or rapid.

Updating this section, I’ve recently reviewed the cannabinoid content information for this grow. This made 16.8% THCA + 1.24% THC, taking the non-acidic mass is 14.7%THC+1.24% we get 15.94% THC.

LINEAGE

By taste, I’d have to guess this lineage includes Tangie or some form of Citrus Skunk. Or perhaps, a derivation of, like Tropical Cookies or Mimosa, which I feel is more probably given the Orange Cookies name. Also, by name, you have to include Capulator’s M.A.C. in the mix. A cultivar I have to admit, I have no experience with, so I can’t offer a comment on how it represents in this cross.

As mentioned above, this plant was bred by Capulator, the breeder of (The) MAC. This is a cross of MAC 10 and Orange Cookies. The latter of which being a GSC cross with Gage Green’s Orange Juice, which is where the California Orange appears (California Orange x Joesph). Didn’t expect it to be that far back.

CRITICISM

Taylor specifically asked that I include some criticism in this series of reviews. For criticism on this Orange Cookie MAC, I’m like Jeff Probst for the losers on Survivor, I got nothing for ya. If there is an element to be critical about, I have missed it, but I can explain my reasoning for this stance.

As far as sensory-based criteria goes, finding a detraction-worthy flaw is a difficult task. Looks, touch, smell, taste; this had it all in high performance. I think the visual elements come clear in the photos, you’ll just have to take my word on the olfaction/gustation– it’s well pronounced and delectable.

The combination of good structure and moisture content is also a prudent note to make. Imagine pulling one of these smaller nodes off a bud pictured below. The flowers feel firm but near butter soft at detail. You bend the node away from the larger stem, which it resists, until it snaps, releasing a dusting of trichome and a splash of orange zest. When relating experience, especially satisfaction or even reported euphoric feeling, I’d argue these characteristics contribute to that sentiment.

I don’t smoke often, but I rolled this up in the most unforgiving rolling paper I have, a Raw Black. While I found good function, the flavours was slightly occluded by the tastes of the combustion reaction, which serves both as a qualitative observation, and a causality of the fact that I don’t smoke very often. As a supplement, I’ve shown pictures of the burning joint and the resulting ash.

GROW INFORMATION

Here’s the high points on the grow method:

Media: rockwool

Photon source: HPS lighting

Fertilizers: Salt based

Hung and dry trimmed

This reads to me like a variation of the Dutch bucket system, where larger rockwool cubes are placed on an elevated table. Nutrient is delivered to the cube, which feeds the plant and is then allowed to run back to the reservoir to be cycled again. You’d refer to this methodology as hydroponic, but the roots aren’t suspended above an aerated nutrient solution, like in deep water hydroponics. Instead, the root formation is contained within the rockwool and, depending on the size of both the plant and rockwool, may never grow past the outside of the cube.

CONSUMER INFORMATION

This cannabis was provided to me by way of a gift, it isn’t available in the Canadian retail markets at the time of writing. Taylor is with a producer called BC Green Pharmaceuticals, who plans to have these genetics available by the end of this year.
